What: Every Child Can! teacher training
with James Hutchins.
A one-day introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education.
For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning.
For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the
Suzuki Association
of the Americas
Teacher Development Program.

Where: Studio of James Hutchins, downtown Silver Spring, Maryland

Cost: $100 to be paid by 1/20/12 via check or money order.
($20 of each active ASTA member’s tuition fee will be donated to the ASTA MD/DC Chapter Scholarship Fund.)

Unexplored genres of music are waiting for you at the 2012 ASTA Eclectic Strings Festival(ESF)!
 
The ESF, including the new competition and comment element, is filled with boundless opportunities to stretch and enhance your musical abilities. Students and individuals will reap the benefits of the new format that will add the spirit of competition along with concrete written comments to take home and study. As an added bonus, competitive groups and individuals will compete for the Grand Prize—a chance to serve as the opening act for the internationally renowned “Barrage” during the Saturday evening concert on March 24, 2012.
 
Groups and individuals must apply by December 15, 2011.
