ASTA

Certificate Program for Strings

© 2008 ASTA/MDDC

The Certificate Program is a graded framework for the string student’s technical and musical development and periodic performance assessment.

The program sets expectations and standards of performance on eleven progressive levels through the standard concerto repertoire.

Each level is defined by a set of goals such as starting of vibrato, playing in 3rd position, etc. and a list of corresponding study materials which include scales, technique, etudes and solos.
