The Certificate
Program is a graded framework for the string student’s
technical and musical
development and periodic performance assessment.
Each level is
defined by a set of goals such as starting of vibrato, playing
in 3rd position,
etc. and a list of
corresponding study
materials which include scales, technique, etudes and solos.

The CPS is available to students, preschool through adult.
Students must currently
study with a teacher who is a member or associate member of ASTA with NSOA of the state where they
are taking the exam.
